Ross has over thirty years’ experience in the Taxation and Business Service divisions of Chartered Accounting firms, both in Queensland and New South Wales. During that time, he has acted for a large number of small to medium business clients engaged in activities across a variety of different industries, including professionals, building and construction, IT, manufacturing, wholesale and retail trading, and service industries.
In recent years, Ross has developed expertise in providing specialised services to his clients in the building and construction industry. These services include:
- Structuring advice for projects with multiple stakeholders and for wealth creation and asset protection;
- Consulting in relation to QBCC financial requirements for licencing;
- Subcontractor financial health checks before awarding contracts;
- Accounting review of feasibility studies;
- Property investment analysis; and
- Tax consulting on issues affecting the industry, in particular, tax withholding, GST margin scheme and going concern concessions and income tax treatments relating to projects.
Experience across all areas of business provides practical insight into subjective and non-subjective review processes as well as the ability to identify irregularities in the information provided which requires further investigation.
The above services are in addition to the normal tax and accounting compliance work, which often forms the foundation for identifying opportunities and providing not only business advice but also a strategic financial direction for the business owners and their families.

Anne is a qualified chartered accountant who has worked in small, medium and large sized chartered accounting firms in both Queensland, and NSW. She has over ten years’ experience in business and tax advisory roles in public practice, acting for high net worth individuals, professionals and small to medium sized family businesses. Over the past 20 years, in addition to running a household and raising children, Anne has been integral to managing family owned residential and commercial properties and undertaking a hands on approach to the accounting and tax responsibilities for family related entities.
Using her accounting and tax training, Anne has developed expert knowledge around property and other investment portfolios. She has further expanded this expertise through practical knowledge and study of interior design. This has included:
Optimisation of value propositions for investment properties, including strategies for sale.
Management of residential and commercial property portfolios
Maintaining detailed records for asset cost bases, including ascertaining the correct treatment of elements of cost base and application of concessions under the relevant tax legislation and preparation of detailed calculations and reconciliations.
Administering the ASIC agent program for the practice, including maintenance of company corporate registers and compliance matters.
Anne has been actively involved in running several family businesses. and managing a property portfolio. This included project management of renovations and repairs to ensure that returns on investment were optimised. Organising properties for sale, including updating areas of maintenance and facilitating staging to maximise sales values.
Whilst taking time out to raise three sons, Anne has been involved with community organisations in the role of treasurer, grants officer and has served on executive committees.
